One of the most memorable moments in USA Olympic history was Kerri Strug's vault following an ankle injury that clenched the gold medial for the USA Women's Gymnastics team.
Though she was unable to participate in the individual competition due to the injury sustained in this vault, her commitment and sacrifice to her team was incredible, selfless, and in the spirit of the Olympic games. Though small, Strug demonstrated huge character and leadership on that day in 1996.
